With over 25 years of combined experience across private, sports and NHS practice, we offer bespoke Physiotherapy for any musculoskeletal or Rheumatological condition, as well as for runners, sportspeople and hybrid athletes. Alongside honest advice and education, we offer evidence-based exercise programmes, manual therapy, massage, acupuncture and electrotherapy, and where appropriate and clinically reasoned, joint and soft tissue injections and medication.
Jack
Advanced Clinical Practitioner · MSc Advanced Clinical PracticeJack works in the NHS across primary and secondary care as a Physiotherapy Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) and holds a master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice. He has spent most of his career in musculoskeletal health, including time in the chronic pain service and with professional and semi-professional sports clubs. Working alongside doctors and consultants in his NHS role, he brings a well-rounded, holistic approach to helping people recover.
Liam
Rheumatology & Orthopaedic MSKLiam began his career in the NHS, building the broad base of knowledge that still underpins his practice. For the last five years he has split his time between the NHS and private practice with self-paying and insured clients. Most of his week is Orthopaedic MSK — rehabbing sporting injuries, musculoskeletal pain and post-operative care — and he also works in Rheumatology. With nearly ten years in the field, he is one of only a handful of Physiotherapists offering Rheumatology privately.
Being based at Train Fitness Studio allows us to treat the members in a space they already know, and gives everyone who comes to us access to high-quality equipment for rehabilitation to be done properly.
What we offer
Assessment, treatment and rehab — tailored to you.
Every treatment option is explained and agreed with you first. Where further investigation is needed, we can write to your GP, consultant or insurer.
Assessment
At your initial consultation we sit down with you and talk through your injury or concern in detail, working to get to the root cause of your symptoms. From there we physically assess and test the area — using technology as required — to reach as specific a diagnosis as possible and create an individualised structured treatment plan.
Treatment
Clear, prescribed exercise programmes to progress you through your rehabilitation. Alongside this we may use manual therapy, massage, and musculoskeletal acupuncture or electrotherapy — every option is discussed and agreed with you first.
Rheumatology Service
Diagnostic scoring, such as BASDAI, medication advice, flare-up and pacing management, and safe, appropriate exercise programmes — combined with our full Physiotherapy service.
Sports Massage
Ideally 24–72 hours before an event. A 30-minute session suits one or two body parts; 45 minutes is better for multiple joints or a more thorough massage.
Recovery Session
Massage with a focus on effleurage, stretching and lighter exercises to help you recover faster from a hard session or event. Ideally within 24–48 hours afterwards.
Online Physiotherapy
If attending the clinic in person is not possible or your preference, then we offer safe, secure, online sessions to help advise and guide you on your condition, and keep you on track from the comfort of your own home.
Joint & Soft Tissue Injections
We offer joint & soft tissue corticosteroid and hyaluronic acid injections where appropriate and clinically reasoned.
Sports Club Partnerships
Drop-in clinics and preventative screening sessions with local clubs to keep players available and get them back to their activity as soon as possible.
Screening sessions
Know exactly where you stand.
Whether it’s a niggle that keeps flaring up when you return to your activity, a pain limiting your confidence to get back to running, or an event on the horizon you want to be in the best possible shape for — a screening session gives you a clear, objective picture and a plan for what to work on.
